I am Dianne Leighton, accredited by the Memory Foundation as a BrainFit Coach in Hawke’s Bay. My background is in Therapeutic Recreation. I have worked with independent elderly people and also those with a brain injury and other disabilities.
I have seen first-hand how an eroding or damaged memory can have an adverse effect on a person’s self-esteem, confidence and independence. As a BrainFit Coach I am excited to be able to provide strategies and tools which can reduce the effects of memory loss.
Along with an improved memory can come a renewed confidence, independence and the joy of remembering well into old age.
